“Barges, I would like to go with you, I would like to sail the ocean blue”
You’ll hear this song when the campers make their way across the river into camp.
Do you put your child on the barge year after year and wonder what the magic at Camp Westwind really looks like? Do you have a child that is coming to camp for the first time and you are feeling a bit anxious about sending them off? Are you a past staff, camper, donor or neighbor to Camp Westwind?
June 22nd is your chance to come out to camp for our annual “Visitors Day”. It is the one day in the whole year that you can take a barge over to camp, get a tour, shoot archery, walk on the pristine beach, hike up to high meadow, meet the kitchen staff, talk to a camp nurse and see the camp staff in action!
Please join us June 22nd at 10:30 am at Knight County Park to barge over to camp.
The barges will run from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, and then again from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
There will be a break from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm so everyone can join us for a BBQ on the lodge deck.
The day is free of charge with a suggested donation to cover lunch.
Feel free to invite friends!
