YWCA: Providing Housing and Dignity
YWCA works at the intersection of houselessness and violence.
More than 1,500 women are experiencing homelessness in Multnomah County and more than half say domestic violence is a cause of their homelessness.
At YWCA, we provide housing and dignity. We help people find safety and stability so they can focus on long-term goals, not just survival.
Between now and the end of the year, we’re raising money to support this critical work during our year-end campaign.
When folks come to us, we let them know they are not alone. We provide housing, therapy, help navigating government systems, and personalized resources to meet their individual needs. We meet them where they are because we understand where they're coming from—90% of YWCA staff are Survivors.
In the coming year, we’re working to open two more homes for Survivors, increase therapeutic services, and ramp up programs organization-wide to help people get—and stay—safely housed.
We're on a mission to provide our most vulnerable neighbors with the long-term support they need and deserve. Please join us.
